In many cases the effects of alcohol are not really physical, but are more psychological. These are named “waiting effects” because people hope to feel more relaxed and excitant when drinking. Please note that if you think so when you are drunk then you can reach this same sexual effect even without alcohol use.

There are long term negative results of alcohol on people sexuality and many short term effects if they drink too much. Even if these don’t raise the opportunities to have risky sex, they will lessen the sex pleasure, and can even prevent them from having sex at all.
This research speaks about alcohol effect in sex. However, when it comes to specific sexual situations, every person is unique. The sex depends on a lot of factors, but maybe the most important one is how informed you are of the risks.
