Though she spent some time in Colorado as a youngster, Kristen Stewart’s formative years were primarily spent in and around the Los Angeles area. The daughter of television producer John Stewart (FOX TV), Kristen Stewart’s interest in acting sparked at a very early age and the would-be starlet consequently took on roles in school plays whenever possible.
It was at just such a production that an agent spotted her and — by the time she was just 8 years old — Kristen Stewart had become a fixture on the auditioning circuit. Her professional debut came with a small role in a 1999 Disney Channel movie called The Thirteenth Year (she played the “girl waiting to get a drink”). It quickly became evident to Kristen Stewart’s friends and family that she was serious about acting.
Kristen Stewart in panic room
Her first real taste of fame came in 2001, when she was cast opposite folks like Timothy Olyphant, Joshua Jackson and Glenn Close in the acclaimed drama The Safety of Objects. Her place as an up-and-coming performer worth watching was cemented the following year with her role in David Fincher’s electrifying thriller Panic Room, in which she spent many of her scenes working alongside no less than Jodie Foster.
Kristen Stewart in the messengers
Kristen Stewart spent the next several years popping up in one box office success after another, including Cold Creek Manor, Catch That Kid (2004) and Zathura: A Space Adventure (2005), but it wasn’t until 2007 that she was cast in the leading role of a major Hollywood motion picture — The Messengers.
Although The Messengers was the underwhelming horror flick, Kristen Stewart’s fans were treated to a tantalizing glimpse of her future as an A-list star. By mid-2007, Stewart had completed work on Into the Wild, The Yellow Handkerchief and What Just Happened.
Kristen Stewart stars in Twilight
In 2008, Kristen Stewart worked on more movies than any previous year. She added Jumper, What Just Happened, The Yellow Handkerchief, and Adventureland to her resume, as well as the movie that made all the ladies love to hate her, the vampire flick Twilight. Playing Bella Swan, the mortal who wins over vampire Edward Cullen, played by Robert Pattinson, Stewart got to get hot and heavy onscreen with the guy of the moment.
Kristen Stewart stars in new moon and the runaways
New Moon, the sequel to Twilight, came out in November 2009 and, to date, has made close to $300 million. The third installment, Ecilpse, will no doubt make even more, considering it will be split into two films.
But forget all that Twilight nonsense. We’re actually looking forward to checking out Kristen Stewart’s latest role as Joan Jett in The Runaways, a biopic about the band of the same name, opposite Dakota Fanning as Cherie Currie. The reviews so far have been good, and Stewart and Fanning made this a bona fide music movie by actually recording Runaways hits for the soundtrack. Throw in the controversial make-out scene featuring a 19-year-old K-Stew and a 15-year-old Fanning and the film apparently causes the same “should I actually be turned on by this?” dilemma that the original teen girl band did back in the day. We’ll see you at the theater.
Buying cigarette is the perfect type of a perfect pleasure. It is exquisite, and it leaves one unsatisfied. What more can one want?
